Brief Description of Goods : Vehicles , Motorcycles and Generating Sets

Credit No: 3653-UNI

1.This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue No: 608 of 16th June, 2003.

2.The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Adamawa State Health Systems Development Project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for procurement of the under listed items:

Lot 1: 4 x4 WD Pick-up Vans

1 unit Double Cabin
1 unit single Cabin

Lot 2: 2 units 4 x2 WD Station Wagon Ambulances

Lot 3: 26 units Motor Cycles
2 units 27KVA Generating Sets
5 units 2.8 KVA Generating Sets

Delivery schedule from date of contract award is 120 days.

Bidders may bid for any one or two lots and discounts offered for the award of combined lots will be considered in Bid evaluation .

3.The Adamawa State Health Systems Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Vehicles, Motorcycles and Generating sets.

4.Bidding will be conducted through the International competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Adamawa State Health Systems Development Project II No. 35A Sir Kashim Ibrahim Way Yola and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 10:00 am – 3:00pm Mondays –Fridays.

6.A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ten thousand Naira only {N10,000.00}. The method of payment will be cash or bank draft. Bidding document will be available from Friday 1st July, 2005.

7.Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12:00 Noon Thursday 25th August 2005. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of at least 3% of bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below on Thursday 25th August, 2005 by 12:00 Noon.
