AGRICULTURE SECTOR REFORM PROGRAMME. Central Tenders Board operates in Trinidad and Tobago.
This reimbursable technical cooperation will supplement The Agriculture Sector Loan (881/OC-TT) that was approved by the Bank on September 20, 1995. The objectives of the technical cooperation are to: (a) assist in the implementation of the sector loan program, including the transformation of the Ministry of Agriculture into its new role as facilitator of the private sector; and (b) foster the rapid expansion of agriculture by helping the private sector explore and take advantage of new opportunities. Technical cooperation funding will be sued to provide assistance in the areas of sectoral policy reform, agribusiness development, land information and management systems, rationalization of state-owned enterprises, social impact mitigation, and restructuring the Ministry of Agriculture
