This TC will aim to develop a new Clean Development Mechanism methodology to account for the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as a result of the modal shift from road-based to rail-based transport. This modal shift is a result of the improvements in service in the rail-based transport (metro and light train) in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Once developed, the methodology could be used in other cities in LAC.
