Amman Water & Sanitation Management Project operates in Jordan.
The Amman Water and Sanitation Management Project seeks to improve the efficiency, management, operation, and delivery of water and wastewater services for the Amman Service Area; and lay the groundwork for the sustainable involvement of the private sector in the overall management of these services. The project consists of four components. First, Management Contract Operator's base fee will pay for salaries and expenses of the operator's core group of staff managing the operations of the Service Area's water and wastewater infrastructure. Second, Operating Investment Fund (OIF) will finance the Operator and the Water Authority to support essential short-term and operating investments to improve operation and maintenance and support in the rehabilitation of the water and sewerage system. Third, Capital investment will support design, implementation, and supervision of the restructuring and rehabilitation of the water supply system as well as upgrading and extending service coverage. Fourth, technical assistance will strengthen the planning and management unit, provide independent auditors to monitor the Operator's technical and financial performance, and support consultants' services.
