The general objective of the project is to assist Caribbean firms, particularly SMEs, in better understanding the challenges and exploring the opportunities posed by open regionalism and globalization. The specific objectives are to: (i) provide detailed market information and analysis, as well as recommendations for improving competitiveness in a more integrated regional market, for companies operating in the Caribbean food production and distribution, housing construction, and sports and cultural tourism value chains; and (ii) facilitate networking opportunities for these companies and their interaction with relevant policymakers in the region. In line with these objectives, the project has two components: (1) Analysis of the above value chains; and (2) Stakeholder Workshops, Inter-Firm Collaboration and Networking.
