Agriculture Insurance Technical Assistance
This buyer is a part of World Bank.
Agriculture Insurance Technical Assistance operates in India.
The services aim to assist the Agriculture Insurance Company of India (AICI) to move toward a market-based approach in the design and the pricing of crop insurance products. The World Bank intends to select consulting institutions for the following activities:
• To assess the current underwriting procedure of the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme (NAIS);
• To suggest modification on the current NAIS contract;
• To devise a sound ratemaking procedure for the area yield insurance products offered under the NAIS with proposed modifications / improvements.
The targeted timeframe for completing this work is November/December 2005
