Invitation for Prequalification

The Republic of the Fiji Islands has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Suva/Nausori Water Supply & Sewerage Project.

The Ministry of Works and Energy (MWE) intends to prequalify firms for the following water supply civil works within Suva/Nausori Region, Fiji:

Contract WSC 06a/04
Raralevu Reservoir Inlet Main and Raralevu to Verata Bulk Supply Main

Contract WSC 07a/04
Mains Augmentation and Kalabo Pump Station Upgrade

Contract WSC 08a/04
Nagatugatu High Reservoir System

Contract WSC 09a/04
Wainibuku to Navitoka Reservoir System

Contract WSC10a/04
Nausori - Rewa Delta System

Details and specifications are provided in the Prequalification Document.

It is expected that Invitation for Bids will be issued in July 2004.

Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from the Project Manager and inspect the Prequalification Documents at the address given below.

The Prequalification Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to MWE and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of F$50. The document will be sent by email. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. The request must clearly state "Request for Prequalification for Suva/Nausori Water Supply & Sewerage Project Contract No.s WSC 6a-10a/04".

Submission of Applications for Prequalification Documents must be received in sealed envelopes marked "Application for Prequalification for Suva/Nausori Water Supply & Sewerage Project Contract Nos. WSC 6a-10a/04. Applications must be delivered by hand or by registered mail to the address below at or before 12:00 pm (Fiji time) on 11 June 2004. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late applications.

The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their Applications.
