USACE, Vicksburg District, has a requirement for the overhaul of the main propulsion and generator engines on the M/V Fred Lee. The M/V Fred Lee is a twin screw towboat which has two (2) 3512 Caterpillar main propulsion engines located below the main deck and (2) 3304 Caterpillar generator engines located on the main deck. The vessel will be transported to the Vicksburg Harbor, Corps Fleet, upon Notice to Proceed and all work specified in these specifications shall be performed at this location. Specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Page at http://www.fbo.gov/. Hardcopies will not be available. Offerors should check the FedBizOpps Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 10 October 2008. Offer due date on or about 28 October 2008, 1600 Hours. This procurement is issued 100% set aside for small business under NAICS code 811310 for a firm fixed price contract.
