Tenders are sought from providers for the development of a web portal that will provide a Cybersafety Gateway for Australian primary and secondary schools (the Gateway).  The Gateway will provide a single point for Australian educators to access cybersafety education resources that will enable school wide provision of cybersafety education.

The development of the Gateway and associated education resources will compliment and enhance existing cybersafety education resources and assist schools to develop an integrated approach to cybersafety education.  As a centralised cybersafety portal for schools the Gateway will provide educators with the ability to readily locate educational resources and make bookings for key complimentary ACMA activities and initiatives such as Cybersmart Detectives, Cybersafety Outreach presentations and teacher professional development workshops.
 
The timing of the Gateway development will coincide with the development of ACMA's new cybersafety website.  A separate RFT will be released for the development of the new cybersafety website which will replace the existing NetAlert and Cybersmart Kids Online sites, as well providing clear, easy to navigate reporting mechanisms for children and adults, and an online helpline facility specifically for children.
