1) The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of Dry Zone Livelihood Support and Partnership Program, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for purchase of 09 Nos. of 4WD Double Cabs for Dry Zone Livelihood Suppport & Partnership Program DZLiSPP/Goods/01
2) The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee on behalf of the Project Procurement Entity now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for purchase of 09 Nos. 4WD Double Cabs as specified in the schedule of requirements (Section V) of the bid document as follows:
3) Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Method.
4) Interested Eligible Bidders may obtain further information from National Program Coordinator, Dry Zone Livelihood Support & Partnership Program, Ministry of Agricultural Development & Agrarian Services, 80/5, Govijana Mandiraya, Rajamalwatta Avenue, Battaramulla. Telephone 2885400, Fax 2885388, Email dzlispp@sltnet.lk and inspect the Bidding Documents at the above address during office hours of working days (8.30 to 16.15 Hrs)
5) A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders up to 15.00 hrs of 13th October 2008 on the submission of a written application to the above address (para 4) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Sri Lankan Rupees One Thousand (SLR 1,000). Method of payment will be cash or by bank draft, the bank draft shall be drawn in favour of the National Program Coordinator, Dry Zone Livelihood Support & Partnership Program.
6) Bids shall be delivered to the address below on or before 14.00 hrs on 15th October 2008 and will be opened immediately thereafter. All bids shall be accompanied by bid securities for the amount as specified in Para 02.
7) Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representative who choose to attend at the date / time and address in above para 06 and 04 respectively.
8) In the event of the specified date in the bid submission being declared a holiday for the purchase, the bids will be received up to the appointed time on the next working day.
