The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Dynamics Land Systems, Inc., 991 Annapolis Way, Woodbridge, VA, 22191. The proposed procurement is for two 30mm MK 46 Mod 2 Gun Weapon Systems. General Dynamics Land Systems, Inc. is the only viable source to provide this weapon system configuration, as they are the only current manufacturer of the 30mm MK 46 Mod 2. The anticipated closing date for the synopsis is 15 October 2008 and issuance of the solicitation is 24 October 2008.
