Invitation for Bids

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam has received a Wor1d Bank Credit 4328-VN from the Intemational Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Higher Education Project 2, and it intends to apply P!irt of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Laboratories of enviromental technology, laboratories of husbandry technology and animal producted processing, and Laboratories of basic Physics and Chemistry.
Can Tho University now, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Delivery and Installation of:
Lot EEC 1.1 .1 : Laboratories of environmental technology
Lot EEC 1.1.2: Laboratories of husbandry technology and animal producted processing
Lot EEC 1.1.3: Laboratories of basic Physics and Chemistry
Interested eligible bidders can bid for one or more lots.
Bidders are required to bid for all items within one lot.
A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below from October 10, 2008 during normal working hours (from 8:00am to 11:00am and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, except weekends and holidays):

And upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD 80.00 (eighty US dollars) or in an equivalent in Vietnamese dong. The method of payment will be in cash or direct deposit to account 011.137.001226.8 at Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, Cantho Branch. The Bidding Documents will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. Bidders who wish to receive bidding documents through courier services should submit an additional amount of USD 50.00 (fifty US dollars) for overseas delivery.
Bids must be delivered .to the address below: International Relations Department, Campus 2, Can Tho University, 3-2 Street, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, Vietnam at or before 9:00a.m., 25 November, 2008. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of:
USD 8,000 (eightthousand US dollars) for Lot EEC1.1.1 USD 8,000 (eightthousand US dollars) for Lot EEC1.1.2
USD 5,000(five thousand US dollars) for Lot EEC1.1.3
Or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
Bids will be opened at 9:00a.m., 25 November, 2008 with the presence -of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at Auditorium 2, Campus 2 - Can Tho University, 3-2 Street, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, Vietnam
