1) The Chairman, Procurement Committee appointed by the Board of Ministers, now invites sealed bids from well established suppliers or accredited agents for the principals abroad for supplying following motor vehicles for the Ministry of Education - Uva Provincial Council up to 02:30 p.m. on 16th of October 2008.
2) A complete set of Bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders from 22nd of September 2008 until .15th of October 2008 between 9.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. on the submission of a written application to the address, Director of Education, Uva Provincial Council and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Three Thousand Rupees (Rs. 3,000.00) to the Accountant of Department of Education - Uva Provincial Council. The Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond as per the bidding document.
3) Sealed bids marked "Bid for Supplying of Vehicles" on top left hand corner may either be sent by registered post to the address given below or be deposited in the "Tender Box" kept at the office of the Secretary of Education - Uva Provincial Council, Badulla to be received on or before 2.30 p.m. on 16th of October 2008. Late bids will be rejected.
4) Bids will be opened soon after the closing at the Secretary's Office of Ministry of Education, Uva Provincial Council, Badulla and the bidders or their authorized representatives will be permitted to be present at the time of opening of bids.
5) The Procurement Committee does not accept the responsibility for lost documents in the post.
6) The Procurement Committee reserves ail rights of accepting or rejecting the bid or a part of it without assigning any reason.
