Applications are invited from reputed Suppliers / Manufacturers / Contractors / Corporations / Co-operatives / Societies / Agents & Individuals who wish to register themselves with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment for the under mentioned Services and Supplies for the year 2009. (Above services and supplies are required for the regional offices located at Kurunegala, Matara, Anuradhapura, Kandy and Airport in addition to the Head Office and interested parties located at the said areas are kindly requested to apply for the registration).
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/= should be sent for each item (Supply or Service) along with the application by way of a Cheque in favour of "Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment". Payment also can be made to the Finance Division at the first floor of the Head Office. A separate application should be forwarded for each item
The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment calls for quotations from registered suppliers and contractors in the normal course. However, the Bureau reserves the right to obtain offers and make purchases from other suppliers as well.
The names of suppliers and contractors who repeatedly fail to submit quotations promptly when called for. fail to supply goods on time when ordered and supply goods which do not conform to samples submitted will be removed from the register without any notice.
Applications for Construction work referred in should be furnished along with a photocopy of the registration record of Institute for Construction training and Development (ICTAD) and Applications lor any other supplies & services should be furnished along with a photocopy of the Business Registration Certificate (BRC) and VAT Registration No. issued by the Department of the Inland Revenue. (Should attach VAT Registration Certificate).
Please prepare applications as per the specimen given below and send along with the Rs. 500/= payment receipt obtained from the Finance Division or Cheque, BRC, ICTAD and VAT Registration No. under registered cover marked "Registration of Suppliers 2009" on the top left-hand corner of the envelope to reach the undersigned not later than 20th of October. 2008.
Interested parties who wish to register with the Bureau for more than one item should send all the applications in one Envelope. The Chairman, Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has the right to reject any application.
