Sealed Tenders on B-I Forms for the works mentioned below are invited from the qualified Contractors, Suppliers & Firms under PPRA Rules 2004 and registered with Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2008.
The tenders documents will be issue to all interested parties / firms on production of copy of Pre-qualified letter along with copy of DR and Computerized National Identity Card of the Proprietor of Firm. The application for purchase of tender documents should accompany 2% of Earnest Money of the estimated cost, as mentioned below, in the shape of Deposit-at-Call from any schedule Bank of Pakistan duly pledged to the undersigned. Blank tender documents will be issued to the applicant after scrutiny of the application and on payments of cost tender (non-refundable).
Programme for Issuance/ Receipt and Opening of Tenders: 1st Attempt: Date of Receipt of application and issuance of tenders up to date: 25/09/2008, Date of receipt of tenders and opening (Receipt of tender up to 2.00 P.M.): 27/09/2008
In case of un-responded works: 2nd Attempt: Date of Receipt of application and issuance of tenders up to date: 13/10/2008, Date of receipt of tenders and opening (Receipt of tender up to 2.00 P.M.): 15/10/2008
3rd Attempt: Date of Receipt of application and issuance of tenders up to date: 23/10/2008, Date of receipt of tenders and opening (Receipt of tender up to 2.00 P.M.): 25/10/2008
Terms and Conditions of the Tenders: (1) Contract documents and other terms and conditions can be seen and blank tenders obtained from the office of the undersigned on payments of cost as shown against each work on submission of call deposit of any reputed Bank of Pakistan in the name of undersigned.
(2) No conditional tenders will be entertained.
(3) The tenders will be opened at 1:00 P.M. in presence of the committee i.e. Superintending Engineer Provincial Buildings Circle Hyderabad, the undersigned and Divisional Accounts Officer in presence of the Contractors or their authorized agents who are present at the time. Other terms and conditions can be seen in the office of the undersigned on any working day during working hours.
(4) If the undersigned happens to be out of the headquarters on the date of opening of tenders, the same will be opened on the next working day at 1.00 P.M.
(5) The competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all the Tenders without assigning any reason thereof
(6) Eligibility Conditions for intending Participants are as under: (i) Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant field of specialization of work and to the extent of tender amount of each work.
(ii) Bio-data of Engineering and Technical Staff working with the firm.
(iii) Documentary evidence of works executed /works in progress and certificate of satisfactory completion of works by the employers.
(iv) List of works in progress indicating cost of each work and copy of letter of award of work.
(v) List of Machinery and Equipment available with documentary evidence of its ownership certificate of Bank showing credit worthiness along with Bank statement.
(7) Registration with Income Tax Department (NTN Certificates) and copy of N.I.C
(8) Undertaking on Stamp Paper that firm is involved in any litigation or abandoned any work in the Department.
(9) Affidavit to the effect that the Firms/ Contractors have not been blacklisted previously by any executing agency.
(10) Affidavit with effect that all documents / particulars / information furnished are true and correct.
(11) In case of Firm, list of Partners / Partnership Deed, giving full particulars of Directors / Proprietors or others connected along with Power of Attorney. In case of being sole proprietors such undertaking on Stamp Paper be furnished
(12) In case of works costing below Rs.2.5000 (M), the condition at S. No. 6 will not be applicable.
(13) This NIT can be seen on website of Works & Services Department Government of Sindh for www.sindh.gov.pk.
