The US Army CECOM LCMC intends to acquire an Alternator, NSN 2920-01-208-0804 for use on 60-150 kW MIL-STD Gen Sets. This requirement will result in a non-competitive award to Prestolite Electric Incorporated (PEI), 46200 Port Street, Plymouth, Michigan under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. PEI is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this alternator which was developed specifically for use on 60-150 kW MIL-STD gen sets. PEI designed the alternator specifically for the Governments MIL-STD engines and only PEIs alternator was extensively tested to ensure adequate performance and reliability. The resulting contract will be a five year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract. The estimated maximum dollar value over the life of this contract is $1, 480,000.00.
