Interprovincial Core Area Rapid Transit Integration Strategic Planning Study

The paramount goal of this study is to provide strategic input and direction towards increasing the benefits, efficiency and relevance of interprovincial transit in the NCR by a more integrated and seamless interprovincial system that will increase and promote transit ridership as a viable and primary travel option for commuters and visitors to the National Capital through improved quality of service and a more attractive transit system. This goal may be accomplished by improved or expanded services and infrastructure, enhanced connections and transfers, and improved coordination between the OC Transpo and STO networks.

All questions and requests for clarifications during the tendering period must be submitted in writing to the National Capital Commission attention Shirley Chartrand, Senior Contract Officer at fax no. (613) 239-5007 or by e-mail to schartra@ncc-ccn.ca no later than 10 days before closing date and time. Answers to any question that may impact on the project scope, cost of services, or any other contractual issue will be forwarded, by addendum to all proponents. In this regard, proponents are advised that the only information related to this project that will be contractually binding is the information issued by the National Capital Commission in the form of an Addendum.

The CCN reserves the right to not accept the lowest or any of the proposals submitted, to cancel the Request for Proposal, and/or to reissue the Request for Proposal in its original or revised form. The CCN also reserves the right to negotiate with the successful proponent and/or any/all proponents.

All pricing must be in Canadian Funds.

There will be no public opening for this Request for Proposal.

The procurement process of this tender is subject to Chapter 10 of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
