is seeking an organisation, with demonstrable experience and skills in
community development, local networking, facilitation and working with
individuals from all sectors of the community and a wide range of provider
groups to become a 'Host' of the Wakefield LINk. The 'Host' will be
responsible for the establishment, diversity of membership and supporting
the ongoing day to day activities of the LINk to carry out the following
activities: - Promoting and supporting the involvement of people in the
commissioning, provision and scrutiny of local health and social care
services; - Obtaining the views of people about their needs for, and their
experiences of, local health and social care services; - Enabling people
to monitor and review the commissioning and provision of care services; -
Making their views known to the people responsible for commissioning,
providing, managing and scrutinising those services. The contract will be
run for 3 years. The estimated cost given below is for 3 years based upon
the demographics for Wakefield, however this is subject to final
confirmation from the Department of Health. Submissions will be considered
from partnerships, consortia, as well as single bodies. Social research
