REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

FOR THE PROVISION OF DUTY FIREARMS
TRAINING PROGRAM FACILITIES AND MANAGED SERVICES

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is pleased
to invite you to participate in a consultation on the new Duty
Firearms Training Program Facilities and Managed Services
Request for Proposal. Feedback from industry associations and
suppliers will provide PWGSC with the necessary information to
refine the Request for Proposal and increase awareness and
clarity of the Request for Proposal

The intent of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit
feedback on all aspects detailed herein so as to enable Canada
to consider industry perspectives on issues including:

input into the scoping of the work outlined in the draft
Statement of Requirement;
input into the qualifications required to carry out the work;
identify parties interested in carrying out the work and the
type of expertise that can be
brought to bear;
input into the Draft evaluation criteria.

The Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada
(PWGSC) requires Duty Firearms Training Program Facilities and
Managed Services in accordance with the attached draft General
Statement of Requirement. The proposed Duty Firearms Training
Program Facilities and Managed Services Contract is intended to
commence on the date of its issuance and remain in effect for an
estimated 6 year period with an irrevocable option on the part
of Canada to extend the term of the contract by up to two (2)
additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions.

Should your site currently combine the following facilities, you
may be interested in this potential opportunity.

Ÿ Located in Canada

Facilities must adhere to the latest requirements of the
governing codes and standards applicable to these facilities
which include but are not limited to: Canada Labour Code,
Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, American
Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, United States
Navy Environmental Health Center, and the Immigration and
Naturalization Services/Firearms Handling Unit.

(The supplier would not be required to provide the services of
duty firearms trainers.)

NOTE TO POTENTIAL RESPONDENTS

The publication of this "Request for Information (RFI)" must not
be construed as a commitment
on Canada's part to issue a subsequent "Request for Proposal
(RFP)" for the Department of Public Works and Government
Services Canada (PWGSC) and no contract or other form of
commitment will be entered into with any Contractor based on
responses to this RFI. The responses from industry will enable
Canada to evaluate the strategy to be taken, if any, in regards
to issuing an official RFP for Duty Firearms Training Program
Facilities and Managed Services.

During the period of this RFI, an opportunity may be presented
for Canada and Industry to hold individual information sessions
in which, potential bidders may use this session to make known
their comments on the draft statement of requirement, proposed
procurement approach and methodology, potential evaluation and
selection criteria. However, this meeting with Industry must be
complemented by a formal written response. Suppliers are to send
their written comments, via email or fax, to the Contracting
Authority named herein no later than August 7, 2008.

Meetings may take place on a one on one basis at the offices of
Public Works and Government Services Canada at Place du Portage,
11 Laurier Street, Gatineau.

The closing date for this RFI is August 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M.
Comments received after the closing date will be considered only
to the extent reasonable, in the sole opinion of Canada, given
the progress of the Work at the time of the receipt of the said
information.

This opportunity is open to Canadian suppliers only.
