SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

Main site or location of works: At Hellisheiði Power Plant (2 units),
Hverahlið Power Plant (2 units), and a new site yet to be defined (1
unit).

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Orkuveita
Reykjavíkur is presently building a new stage of an existing plant and two
new geothermal power plants at the Hengill area, about 20 km east of
Reykjavík. The subject of Works are five 50 MVA power transformers, five
12,5 MVA power transformers and fourteen 2,5 MVA station service
transformers. The 50 MVA power transformers are intended for step up of
generator terminal voltage level to transmission voltage level. The 12,5
MVA power transformers are intended for isolation and voltage regulation
of the station service system. The station service transformers are
intended for power supply to the 400 V station service system. The scope
of supply is the design, manufacturing, transport and site supervision
during installation of the transformers. The units shall be ready for
commisioning at following dates: First unit 15. May 2010, second unit 15.
June 2010, third and forth units 15. December 2010 and last unit 15.
September 2011.
