NASA/NSSC has a requirement for EngNetBase Subscription Services. Thissubscription is an online engineering research tool. The EngNetBase is a collection ofthe most current information in the fields of Electronics Engineering and the Aerospaceand Aeronautics Industry. The subscription is also an electronic handbook which coversall areas of engineering and provides access to formulas, codes and emerging informationin engineering areas, such as, but not limited to, nanotechnology and photonics. NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the above subscription from CRC Press, LLC, 6000 BrokenSound Parkway, Suite 300, Boca Raton, FL 33487-2713. Pursuant to FAR 13.106, theacquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonably available from onlyone source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local timeon August 8, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.Capabilities and qualifications should be submitted to Michelle Berdux atmichelle.l.berdux@nasa.gov.
