DESCRIPTION OF WORK The purpose of this contract is to secure a complete set of services to accomplish multiple stand objectives. Treatments include 1) tree thinning for stocking control, 2) reducing fire hazard through reducing standing vegetation fuel ladders and excessive down woody fuels, 3) fuels reduction through hand piling, grapple piling or lop and scattering of existing or created slash, 4) and burn hand or grapple piles. This project will be posted to FedBizOpps as a pre-solicitation notice on July 23, 2008. The project will upload in FedBizOpps as a solicitation on or around August 6, 2008, and bids will be due at the Malheur National Forest office COB on September 2, 2008.
