Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and all things necessary to provide aquatic aerial spraying. The work will consist of using a helicopter to spray herbicide primarily onto floating water hyacinths, but also Cuban Bull Rush (Oxycaryum Cubense) and possibly some other aquatic weeds. The contractor will be reponsible for providing the helicopter and herbicide(2, 4-D Amine 4). Areas to be treated could be various locations on Demopolis, Gainesville, Aliceville, Columbus, Aberdeen Lakes, Amory, Wilkins, Fulton, Rankin, Montgomery Pools, Bay Springs Lake, and the Divide Section, Tenn-Tom Waterway; Greene, Sumter, Marengo and Pickens Counties in Alabama; Lowndes, Clay, Noxubee, Monroe, Tishomingo, Lee, Prentiss, and Itawamba Counties in Mississippi. It is anticipated that an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will be awarded. Task orders will be issued against the contract specifying the area and quantities to be treated. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business using NACIS 115310 for which the size standard is $6,500,000.00 average gross income for the past three years. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: https://www.fedteds.gov. The solicitation is due to be posted on or about July 21, 2008. All prospective contractors must be registered in in FedTeds before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is it determined to be in the Government's best interest. Therefore, it is the offeror's responsibility to check the website for solicitation posting and any changes to the solicitation. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
