This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDIV Newport, RI anticipates placing a fixed price order with Sarnicola Simulation Systems for a supplemental heating and cooling system to a Six Axis Motion Table. This is a manufacturer�s upgrade to the existing table�s hydraulic heating and cooling system to allow operation during extreme weather conditions. Delivery and installation is within 120 days of award. The basis for the sole source is that Sarnicola is the original manufacturer and the upgrade is specifically designed for the motion table and must meet the performance requirements. The solicitation in not expected to be released before 25 July 2008. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
