The 117th Air Refueling Wing located in Birmingham, Alabama intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price to provide all labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to repair Fire Crash Rescue Station Building 125, as per ANG Project No. BRKR992013. The Magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Construction completion time estimated 180 days. The NAICS code is 236220. This action is being procured on an UNRESTRICTED basis in accordance with the Small business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Ref: FAR 19(c) (2). All responsible firms may submit a bid. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is 30 July 08. The tentative date for bid opening is 26 Aug 08. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, funds are currently not available for this project; any award is contingent upon receipt of funds. Note: Bids proposal must be valid through 1 Dec 08. No response to this notice is necessary. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
Interested offerors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Firms can register via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the CCR Information Center at 1-888-227-2423. Interested offerors are required to submit their representations and certifications on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. You will need your DUNS number and CCR MPIN in order to log in to the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website. The solicitation and associated information minus the plans and specifications will be available from the EBS website http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org/Ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at this site. The plans and specifications will be available only from the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeds) website on-line at https://www.fedteds.gov/. A link to this site can be found under Plans at the solicitation website. No telephone requests will be accepted. For security reasons all potential offerors, plan rooms and printing companies are required to register in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeds) in order to view or download the plans or drawings from the web site. It is the bidders responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments to the issued solicitation. The government will issue no paper copies. All inquires must be in writing.
