In support of the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), TRAX International throughits subcontractor, QSS Group Incorporated, is looking for 8(A) vendors for an upcoming8(A) set aside solicitation.QSS will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply and delivery of various officesupplies to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Greenbelt, MD; Wallops FlightFacility, Wallops, VA; and NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC. The solicitation is thefirst step to awarding a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Quantities (FFPIQ) contract. When issued, the RFP and contract are expected to have an estimated value of 2 milliondollars. The contract duration will be for one year, with two each one year optionperiods. It is estimated that approximately 3,800 administrative and office items will beincluded in the solicitation. The RFP will include complete requirements in the Scope of Work (SOW) and completeinstructions for completing and submitting the Technical/Management and Pricingsubmittals. The SOW will include but will not be limited to: Requirement to have staff, vehicles, and equipment for desk top deliveries to thethree facilities. These are secure, badge-only access facilities and delivery personnelmust be US citizens and successfully complete a security check in order to receive abadge. Vendors ability to interface with QSS/TRAX through Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) Vendor ability to provide electronic and printed catalogs Vendor ability to meet the delivery schedules for each commodity Packing and delivery requirements Reports requirements The intent of this announcement is to obtain information regarding the number of smallbusinesses who are interested and capable of meeting the requirements of this contract. The information obtained will determine if enough competition exists to proceed with thisprocurement. This request for information is for planning purposes only and is not to beconstrued as a commitment by QSS Group Inc., TRAX International, NASA or the USGovernment to enter into a contractual agreement. Respondents will not be notified ofthe results of this evaluation. All questions must be submitted in writing (e-mail or fax) to the undersigned no laterthan August 6, 2008.Prospective qualified vendors shall notify this office of their interest in receiving andresponding to the RFP no later than August 6, 2008.
