SOLICITATION NUMBER N5140080115 WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT JULY 18, 2008 TO REPLACE CANCELLED SOLICITATION NUMBER N5140080079. The National Park Service is soliciting offers for clearing scenic vistas along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a two lane 470-mile scenic highway surrounded by natural beauty. The objective of this project is to provide clear and unobstructed views of the many scenic mountain ranges from the roadside and parking overlooks along the Parkway. The work includes cutting brush, shrubs, briars, vines and trees as specified for each vista listed on the vista logs. This project is a multiple-year contract (3 years) which includes Base Year One with Option Year Two and Option Year Three. Base Year One covers clearing 261vistas from Milepost 330.9 to Milepost 469.1 in North Carolina; Option Year Two covers clearing 220 vistas from Milepost 0 to Milepost 121.4 in Virginia; and Option Year Three covers clearing 233 vistas from Milepost 121.7-121.8 in Virginia to Milepost 330.7 in North Carolina. The NAICS Code for this project is 115310 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. This acquisition is subject to the Service Contract Act and all applicable Department of Labor wage determinations. The acquisition is unrestricted and offers will be accepted from all responsive and responsible offerors. The due date for offers is AUGUST 20, 2008 unless otherwise changed by an amendment to the solicitation.
