NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
CALL FOR TENDERS NO. 10006321
Sealed tenders in two copies, inserted in an envelope identified with the provided label and entitled " Renovation of sanitary facilities – Wing 3 of the Port of Montreal building ", will be received at the Montreal Port Authority's Office, Port of Montreal Building, Wing no. 1, Cité du Havre, Montreal, Quebec, H3C 3R5, until 10 o’clock, local time, Friday, August 22, 2008 when tenders will be opened in public. Tenders received after the above stipulated time will not be considered.
Whitout limitation, the works concerned by the Call for tenders are:
The complete renovation works of the toilets rooms including:
 To demolish all the toilet accessories, toilet partitions, suspended ceiling systems, lighting equipments et to replace all the piping
 To demolish the indicated block walls and the terrazzo floor
 To install new sanitary appliances, new toilet accessories, new piping, new lighting and new suspended ceiling systems
 To install new ceramic tiles on the walls and floors
 To level all the surfaces related to the demolition works and to prepare all the surfaces to receive new finishing
 To replace doors, frames and hardware
 To remove and replace the ventilation grills
The removal works of asbestos sheaths from the water supply ducts.
For their tender to be valid, contractors must comply with the following obligations:
 obtain the tender documents
 participate in the site visit and obtain the Confirmation of attendance form, signed by a representative of the Authority.
Please contact the purchasing agent for a site visit appointment before Thursday, August 7, 2008. (Wearing a hard hat, traffic safety vest and work boots is mandatory): You are requested to meet at the Wing 1, Port pf Montreal Building, 2100 Pierre-Dupuy Avenue, Montreal. A proof of identity with picture will also be required by the Security.
The Authority reserves the right to schedule other visits for the purpose of favouring healthy competition but makes no commitment to do so. Regardless of the Authority’s decision, it undertakes to communicate the same information to all Tenderers.
To be considered, the tender must include the following documents:
 Tender Guarantees.
 Letter confirming commitment to provide performance bond and wages, materials and services payment bond.
 Certified copy of its authorizing resolution or by-law.
 Signed confirmation of site visit, if necessary.

The Montreal Port Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. The verified results of the Tenders shall be available from the Authority on request 24 hours after the opening of the Call for Tenders.
