The USDA Forest Service, National Forests in FL, has a requirement for timber stand examination services. This is a solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12. Work includes performing timber stand examination services using common stand exam protocols in accordance with specifications on approximately 2,012 timber plots on the Apalachicola National Forest, Leon and Wakulla Counties, FL. Award of contract will be based on BEST VALUE to the Government, price and other factors considered. Evaluation factors, in descending order of improtance are: (i) Past Performance in performing similar work for the Federal or other Government entities; (ii) Experience in performing similar type of work; (iii) Technical capability to meet Government requirements; (iv) Price Contract time: 88 calendar days beginning approximately September 8, 2008 This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
