This project consists of the construction of a Structural-Plate Arch culvert on Forest Service Road No. 223, mile post 12.96. This project involves the removal of an existing culvert and the replacement with a new 9 foot span by 4 foot 8 inch rise Steel Structural Plate Arch Culvert. Improvements consist of but are not limited to structural excavation, excavation and reshaping of the channel, placement of riprap, installation of cast-in-place or precast concrete footings, embankment and excavation of the roadway approaches, and road surfacing. The project is located on the Moose Creek Ranger District of the Nez Perce National Forest, approximately 13 miles from Lowell in Idaho County, Idaho (Section 30, Township 32 north, Range 9 east). Estimated price range for the project is $25,000-$100,000. Mandatory performance period for the project is from December 1, 2008 through March 1, 2009. Solicitation is expected to be issued in August 2008.
