The Chairman, Divisional Procurement Committee of Matale Irrigation Engineer's Office invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the construction works in the following schedule.
Bidding will be conducted through national competitive bidding procedure.
To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidders shall not have been blacklisted and shall meet the following requirements registration for buildings & Irrigation works with ICTAD, Grade C9 or above.
Interested bidders may obtain further information from Irrigation Engineer, Matale Division, M.C. Road, Matale and inspect the bidding documents at the same office from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs on working days from 14th July to 4th August 2008.
A complete set of bidding documents in English language for each work may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Irrigation Engineer Matale from 14th July 2008 to 04th August 2008 from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1500.00 for each item. The method of payment should be by cash.
Bids prepared as per the instructions shall be delivered to the address below on or before 1500 hrs on 06th August 2008 by Registered Post or by hand. The relevant bid number should be indicated on the left hand corner of the envelope containing the bid document. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after the closing time. Bidders or their representatives are allowed to be present at the time of opening of bids if they are interested.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security relevant to it or with a receipt of cash payment made to the Irrigation Engineer, Matale as per the information given in the schedule.
