Tenders in sealed cover are invited from contractors / suppliers for various issues of Karachi Zoo and L.K., CDD, CDGK.
Terms and Conditions: (1) Tender documents will be available for sale during working hours (except the date of opening of tenders) from the office of (i) City Nazim Secretariat, 1st Floor, Civic Center; (ii) District Coordination Officer Secretariat, 2nd Floor, Library Block, Civic Center; (iii) District Officer (H.Q.), CDD, CDGK, 3rd Floor, Civic Center at University Road, Karachi, with effect from the date of publication in newspapers on payment of non-refundable cost of tender price through Pay Order from any scheduled bank in favour of City District Government Karachi, on submission of written application on their original letterhead.
(2) Earnest Money equal to 2% of the offer amount of the work should be enclosed along with tender in shape of pay order from any scheduled bank in favour of City District Government Karachi. The tender in sealed cover superscripted with the name of work should be dropped in the tender box kept in the office of the EDO, CDD, CDGK, 3rd Floor, Civic Center , University Road, Karachi by 3:00 P.M. on 31-07-2008.
(3) The tender submitted by the bidders will be opened on the same day at 3:00 P.M. by the Chairman, Tender Committee in the Committee Room of Executive District Officer, CDD, CDGK, 3rd Floor, Civic Center, in presence of those bidders or their representatives who wish to be present.
(4) In case the date of opening is declared as a public holiday by the Government, the next official working day shall be deemed to be the submission and opening date of tenders at the same time.
(5) The total bid amount as well as the rates of items must be filled both in figures and in words, and in case any correction is made by the contractor, himself then each correction must be initialed by the contractor; otherwise, the tender is liable to be summarily rejected. The contractors / firms who have purchased the tender and do not want to quote, shall return the same on the due date writing the words “Not Quoted” at appropriate place before the Tender Opening Committee, failing which the contractor shall be debarred from future tendering in City District Government Karachi.
(6) The decision of the department will be final.
(7) 2% Earnest Money in the shape of Pay Order should be enclosed with the tender which will be retained till finalization of the case.
(8) Canvassing in connection with tenders is strictly prohibited and tenders submitted by the contractor who resort to canvassing, will be liable for rejection.
(9) City District Government Karachi reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
