VA is seeking offerors to construct an outpatient clinic facility on a site pre-selected by VA in Evansville, IN. VA has obtained an Assignable Option to Purchase 11.109 acres of land at a total cost of $163,350 per acre. The site is known as Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and Outlot A of Waterford Place Subdivision Section 2, according to the plat thereof recorded in the Public Records of Vanderburgh County, Indiana. The Option will be assigned to the successful offeror at time of lease award. The land and clinic facility will remain the property of the successful offeror at the end of the lease term. The successful offeror is required to purchase the land at the agreed-upon price and construct a clinic with a maximum of 87,189 net usable square feet based on the specifications, special requirements, floor plan and site layout contained in Solicitation for Offers (SFO) No. V101-08-RI-0226 which will be issued on or before August 4, 2008. In addition to the building, a minimum of 436 on-site parking spaces are also required by VA. VA will lease the facility for a period not to exceed 20 years. Interested parties should respond to this announcement by August 1, 2008. When requesting SFO documents, state name, address, phone, fax numbers, e-mail address and solicitation number. A $50.00 nonrefundable fee, payable by check or money order to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Agent Cashier, shall accompany the request for SFO documents. Requests shall be forwarded to the Point of Contact listed below, who can also provide a copy of the legal description and drawing of the pre-selected site prior to the response date. Upon issuance of the SFO by the Contracting Officer, Offerors will have 45 days to provide an offer. All responsible and qualified sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by VA. A pre-bid conference has been tentatively scheduled at a site to be determined on August 12, 2008 in Evansville, IN. Details regarding the conference will accompany the SFO.
