The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (herein after called "the ADB") towards the cost of the Gas Transmission and Development Project and it is intended that a part of the funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Bidding Document is issued.
The Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) (herein after called "the Purchaser") now invites scaled Bid from eligible Bidders from member countries of the ADB for Procurement of Pipeline Fittings to Construct 323.90mm OD 53.00 km length High Pressure (100 Psig) Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline from Bonapra to Rajshahi
Delivery and services under the contract shall be completed with in 150 (One Hundred Fifty) days counting from 30 days after issuance of Commitment Letter by ADB
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries (Dctalis procedures arc provided in the Bidding Document).
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information on the bid from and inspect the bidding document at the following address:
The Bidding Document, in English language, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above and upon payments of non-refundable fee of USS 70.00 or BD Tk. 5,000.00 in the form of Pay Order/Demand Draft in favour of Gas Transmission Company Limited from July 14, 2008 during working hours on all working days. No Bid Document will be sold on the closing date of Bid.
Bid must be delivered to the above mentioned address, at 11:30 Hrs, (BST) on August 26, 2008 in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders of Bid Document.
Bid must be accompanied by a bid security of USS 5,000.00 or BD Tk. 3,50,000.00 as per Bid Security format of Section IV in the Bid Document and must be delivered to Project Director, Bonapara-Rajshahi Gas Transmission Pipeline Project. GTCL Late Bid shall be rejected. Bids will be opened at 12:00 Hrs. (BST) on August 26, 2008 in presence of Bidder/Bidder's representatives who choose to attend. If the Bid can not be received and opened due to any unavoidable circumstances or holiday on scheduled date and time, Bid shall be received and opened at the same venue and time on the subsequent working day.
The Purchaser will not be responsible for any cost or expense incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bid. GTPR- 02/08-09
