1) The Chairman, Procurement Committee, General Hospital, Matara hereby invites sealed tenders, from representatives or their agents in Sri Lanka for the following laboratory items. Sealed Bids will be closed at 2.30 p.m. on 29th July 2008.
2) Only the sole nominated representative / accredited agent of manufacturers of the equipment offered for the Sri Lankan market are eligible to participate the Tender.
3) Sealed tender should be submitted with duly completed set of bidding documents in duplicate purchased by any interested eligible tenderer, agent, representative or nominee on behalf of a tenderer on the submission of::- a) The bidding documents could be purchased from Director's Office, at General Hospital, Matara on or before 17th July 2008, b) A non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 1500.00 should be paid at the office. All fenders should be accompanied by a bid bond at the rate of 1% of the tendered amount as specified in the instructions to tenderers, c) A certificate of Business Registration with a certified photocopy, d) A certificate / Letter / Power of Attorney, issued by the principals of appointing as a local agent, e) Upon production of the original copy of valid certificate of registration issued by the Registrar of Public Contracts "Samagam Medura", D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo, f) Sealed Bids may be dispatched either by registered post or deposited in the tender box kept at the office.
4) Tender will be opened immediately after the closing of tender at the office of the Director.
