Gloucestershire Council is seeking an organisation with demonstrable
experience and skills in community development, local networking,
facilitation and working with individuals from all sectors of the
community and a wide range of provider groups to become the Host of the
Local Involvement Network (LINk) in South Gloucestershire. The host
organisation will be responsible for the setting up of the LINk and then
enabling, supporting and facilitating the LINk in its activities during
the contract period. The LINk will undertake the following activities: (1)
Promoting and supporting the involvement of people in the commissioning,
provision and scrutiny of local health and social care services. (2)
Obtaining the views of people about their needs for, and their experiences
of, local health and social care services. (3) Enabling people to monitor,
appraise and review the commissioning and provision of care services. (4)
Making their views known to the people responsible for commissioning,
providing, managing and scrutinizing those services. Provision of services
to the community. Health and social work services. Legal, accounting,
auditing, business, management and related services. Promotional services.
