This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to prospective suppliers to submit proposals to:

• Design, Build, Install and Commission an Aeration/Degassing Water Treatment System @ Dorion Fish Culture Station, Dorion, ON

The work will begin upon execution of the Agreement (approximately August 29, 2008) and continue for a period of seven (7) months, with an option in favour of the Ministry to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to four (4) months, if necessary.

The work will include:

• A water treatment system consisting of a vacuum degasser and pressurized packed column with process controls is required to reduce total gas pressure to a maximum of 100% saturation and to increase dissolved oxygen to 100% at the Dorion Fish Culture Station.
• Upon award, the contractor will complete the final design based on the proposed conceptual design drawings, and then construct the aeration/degassing system. Upon completion of the construction the contractor will be required to commission the entire system at the Dorion Fish Culture Station no later than February 28, 2009.

• Proponent's Deadline for Questions    July 25, 2008 @ 5:00 p.m.
• Deadline for Issuing Addenda        July 30, 2008 @ 5:00 p.m.
• Proposal Submission Deadline: August 8, 2008 @2:00:00 p.m.

• Period for which Proposals are Irrevocable after Proposal Submission Deadline = 60 days

This RFP is available only through MERX, the electronic tendering system used by the Province of Ontario.

A proponent who has not obtained this RFP through MERX may have its proposal disqualified unless a third party has requested this RFP from MERX on that proponent's behalf, and that proponent has identified the third party on the Tender Return Label. Failure to identify the third party in this manner may result in disqualification of a proposal.
