II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Plymouth
Hospitals NHS Trust is a large acute NHS Trust that provides both
secondary and tertiary services to the population of Devon, Cornwall and
parts of Somerset. Our aim is to become a Foundation Trust in April 2009
and to be 1 of the top Acute Trusts in the UK. We are looking for a
progressive and innovative single service provider to work in partnership
with us to deliver quality, effective, sustainable and value for money
hotel services to include cleaning, catering, ward housekeeping and
general portering services. As part of the tender the Trust is asking our
service partner to enable the upgrading and replacement of the current
catering facilities and equipment in patient, public and staff areas.
Express of Interst return date is 1.8.2008. PQQ return date is 8.8.2008.
