Opening date of tender: 07/25/2008 00:00 Note: Supply of Drugs / Medicines / Disposable Surgical Items / X-Ray Films / Chemicals / Dental Materials and Petty Articles for the Use of Health Facilities of District Thatta for the year 2008-09. Here mentioned both dates of tender are tentative.
Note: Only manufacturers / importers who hold the valid registration of products in their name can apply for pre-qualification as suppliers to the Executive District Officer Health, Thatta. Manufacturers / Importers can authorize their institutional distributors to participate in the tender; sub-distributors / sub-agents cannot participate in tenders. Note: Already Pre-Qualified firms may apply for Renewal. Following criteria be taken into consideration: - (1) Relevant experience and sound past performance of the bidder (affidavit to the effect that the bidder / firm has not been blacklisted in the past by any of the Government Institution. (2) Production capacity with respect to personnel, equipment, plant, quality control facilities and storage facilities on the basis of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) inspection. (3) Financial position of the bidders (gross profit of the firm, shall not be less than Rs.15 million in the last year's). Annual Financial report, in case of local manufacturers; and the Annual imports of the bidder shall not be less than Rs.50 million, in case of importers. (4) The product(s), for which the bidders intend to bid, shall be freely available in the market and written assurance for making it available in the market even after bidding. (5) The bidder should either be the manufacturer or his authorized sole distributor for the prescribed period of time. (6) The bidder must possess NTN and must be registered with Sales Tax Department. (7) Once pre-qualified, the pre-qualification of the bidder / firm may be valid, preferably for three years, depending upon the performance. However, pre-qualified process shall take place on yearly basis. (8) The written assurance that the bidder does not have any pending litigation with the government. (9) An evidence that the product is purchased in the country of origin by the government of that country. (10) Certificate of pharmaceutical product (GMP / Free sale Certificate) certified by the ministry of the country of origin. (11) Proof of safety and efficacy (quality assurance / analysis report) of the country of origin, in case of imported products only. Note: Interested parties must submit their applications on prescribed proforma within one month after publication in newspapers, (25/07/2008). Sample proforma can be obtained from M&I Cell, Health Department, Government of Sindh at Karachi; Director General, Health Services Sindh at Hyderabad; and EDO (Health) Office, Thatta on payment of Rs.100/- only.
