The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ 11704-0019-08 for the provision of an Advanced Occupational Education program in the field of Computer Applications to be performed at the United States Penitentiary Lee County located at Pennington Gap, VA. The requirement is for an accredited program leading to a certificate in Computer Applications or closely related field. The certification should be issued from an Accredited Institution of Post Secondary Education. It is estimated that the contract will include 2 sessions per year that will be approximately 20 weeks in length. The session will consist of 8 classes being held weekly. Each class will be 3 hours in duration. The estimated total sessions per year is 2. The contract period shall consist of one 12 month base year and 4 twelve month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about July 15, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated deadline for receipt of quotes is August 20, 2008. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
