The JSC “Azerenerji” has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Power Transmission Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services for preparing Revaluation of the Company’s Assets. The services include the preparation of summary statutory financial statements of the Company according to the International Financial Reporting Standards and recognition in the Company accounting books the results of the fair value revaluation of fixed assets, including adjustments to capital and reserves accounts. In addition, the revaluation will assist the Company to set up revised amortization/depreciation rates and maintain Fixed Assets Register in line with IFRS. The fair revaluation of the fixed assets will play key role in formation of economical relations in the company. A Revaluation method that will serve long-term period should be proposed by the Evaluator in this regard. Recommendations should be proposed on timing and frequency of the revaluation in future, also submission and preparation of accounting records.
