Request for Expression of Interest
(EOI) Ref # 1061/1/2008
Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) intends to attract Expression of Interests from reputed registered firms/companies for provision of Transport Services and qualified companies specializing in tourist transport which are able to undertake to provide the marketing, management, operation, provision of buses and maintenance of tourist buses for the (Amman City Tour) project.

The project Amman City Tour Buses aims to enrich the visitors, tourists and citizen experience within the city, by facilitating the provision of quality services that allows a golden opportunity of exploring Amman through defined routes and stops. The tour covers the most important attractions, historical monuments, cultural, recreational and marketing sites in the city, at a reasonable and appropriate cost for all users.

The buses should be appropriate to the topography and climate nature of the city, with universal specification, to achieve the vision and the requirements of GAM. In return GAM will allow and facilitate the company to take advantages of all marketing and sales revenue for the project in all the means used in its campaign.
The company is to provide documents relating to the following

1. Company profile: - the company's name both in Arabic and English, the commercial register, owners & partners, the signature of Commissioners, the company's capital, number of buses and other related important data
2. The company's experience and services since its founding, including experience in similar projects if any.
3. The companies proposed requirements for the Project Team such as :( Project manager, assistant manager, secretary, drivers, tour guides… etc.
4. Companies to propose type of bus to be utilized as commonly used at city tours worldwide.
5. Companies proposed marketing plan/ campaign.

Companies will be short listed based on their innovation, level of proposed services and support, marketing plan and vehicles to be used. The short list companies will be invited to respond to a more detailed Request for Proposals.
EOI along with a cover letter to be delivered by hand or by courier and to be deposited in the tender's box at Tendering and Procurement Directorate offices, at address shown below no later than 12:00 noon (Amman Local Time) on Wednesday 6th August 2008 . Late submittals will be excluded.
Selection Criteria for candidates based on company:
• Profile and capital investment.
• Innovation.
• Local, regional and international experiences.
• Project’s personnel.
• Example of last ten years projects (project name, budget, date and owner).
• Similar projects.
• level of proposed services and support.
• Marketing plan and vehicles to be used.

GAM is looking for a five years commitment with a renewable option for a further period - five years. The anticipated start date is January 1st, 2009.
