1) The Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University on behalf of the University Procurement Committee now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to procure Medical Equipment to the Faculty of Medical & Allied Science.
2) Bidding will be conducted through die National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the National Procurement Agency Procurement Guidelines 2006, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
3.) Interested eligible bidders could obtain bidding documents of the above Packages including specifications from Senior Assistant Bursar - Supplies (Tel: 025-2266513, 025-2266749) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rupees One Thousand (Rs. 1,000/-) in cash to the Shroff / Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale on working days between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. up to 18th July 2008.
4) Bids must be duly filled, marked "Supply of Medical Laboratory Equipment" IFB No. RJT/SUP/MF/EQ/2008/01, on the left hand corner of the envelope should reach "The Chairman, University Procurement Committee, (Tender Box at the Registrar's Office, Mihintale) Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale at or before 10.00 a.m. on 22nd July 2008 and will be opened at 10.15 a.m. on 22nd July 2008 (soon after the closing of bids) at the Registrar's Office, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mihintale. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security or Guarantee for die amounts mentioned above from a recognized Bank in favour of the Vice-Chancellor valid for 91 days from the opening date. Late bids or Bids received without a Bid Security / Guarantee will be rejected.
5) Bidder or his Authorized representative is permitted to be present at the opening of the bids and the successful bidder should submit a performance bond or a bank guarantee for 10 % of the bid sum.
