The Chairman, Departmental Procurement Committee, on behalf of the Uva Provincial Department of Education now invites, sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following construction works, under SEMP (Secondary Education Modernization Project) funded by Asian Development Bank.
Sealed Bids will be entertained up to 2.30 p.m. on 23rd July 2008. The Bids received thus will be opened at 2.35 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the Bidders or their representatives.
1) The completed set of bidding document may be purchased up to 12.00 noon on 21st July 2008 at the School Building branch of Uva Provincial Department of Education, by forwarding the receipt upon payment of the relevant Tender Deposits and Tender form fee to the Accountant by cash only.
2) The other related details could be collected from the Engineer, School Building branch of Uva Provincial Department of Education during the office hours and may-inspect the bidding Document.
3) The Chairman, procurement Committee reserves the right to accept, reject or withdraw any tender or part thereof. The decision arrived at by the procurement committee is defined final.
4) Bids developed, sealed and marked the caption denoting the project name and number of the tender on top left hand corner of the envelope should either be sent by Reigstered Post to reach Chairman, Procurement Committee, Uva Provincial Department of Education, Welagedara Road, Badulla or deposited in the tender box, provided at the same premises for the purpose.
