The contract includes conducting pre-placement condition surveys and potentially placing a total of 950,000 cubic yards (cy) of sand on beaches of Dewey, Rehoboth, Bethany and South Bethany Beaches, Delaware from offshore borrow areas. In addition to the base bid items, the contract includes a total of 11 options. The base bid includes 300,000 cy of sand placed at Dewey Beach between Stations 133+00 and 169+00(approx.). Options 1,2,3 and 4 (50,000 cy each) are for additional sand at Dewey Beach. Option 5 (100,000 cy) and Options 6,7 and 8 (50,000 cy each) are for sand placed at Rehoboth Beach between Stations 26+00 and 58+00 (approx.). Option 9 (100,000 cy) and Options 10 and 11 (50,000 cy each) are for sand placed at Bethany and South Bethany Beach. The contract also includes two bid schedules. Bid Schedule A requires the use of the Fenwick Island Borrow area for Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches. Bid Schedule A requires the use of Area G Borrow area for Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches. Both bid schedules require the use of Area E borrow area for Bethany and South Bethany Beaches. Only one bid schedule will be awarded.
