Expressions of interest

The Government of the Republic of Armenia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Avian Influenza Preparedness Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The service implemented under one contract is “Development of detailed proposal on architectural design for renovation of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health according to WHO laboratory Bio-Safety manual, Good laboratory Practice and International laboratory standards”. The assignment should be implemented by an architect. The architect should prepare proposal for local design services specifying preliminary plans of laboratories and general requirements for laboratory equipment according to WHO Laboratory Bio-safety Manual (BSL 2/3 requirements), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), EU health and safety standards, ISO standards and local building regulations.

The “Health projects implementation unit” SA now invites eligible consultants - individuals, to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (CVs, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.).

The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition). The method of selection is IC.

The evaluation criteria are:
• General Qualifications - 30 points
• Adequacy for the assignment - 20 points
• Relevant Experience in the field - 40 points
• Experience in the CIS or Central and Eastern European countries - 10 points
