NASA/GRC has a requirement for (1) JOB, Repair and upgrade a bundled 64 Channel and(1) JOB Repair and upgrade a bundled 32 channel Sigma/Delta Signal/Boss system.NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Experimental Design & Analysis Solutions Inc.(EDAS), per FAR 13.106-1(a)(1) EDAS is the original manufacturer of the channel systemsand the only source with the hardware and software required for the upgrade of theexisting systems.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon 7/11/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
