The United States Patent and Trademark Office intends to issue a follow-on sole source firm fixed price contract to Biocceleration for genetic sequence search system hardware, software and support under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG). The USPTO currently uses Biocceleration proprietary hardware and software to perform it mission of searching genetic and proteomic sequences that are submitted with biotechnology patents. This search software is one component in the USPTO�s Automated Biotechnology Search (ABSS) System. This award will encompass a base and one option year. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities by providing written notification no later than COB July 25, 2008. Responses will be considered, however, a determination to issue a sole source award is at the sole discretion of the Government.
