1. The 782 Test Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, FL is seeking sources for an anticipated requirement for a mid-wave infrared hyper-spectral imaging sensor system based on the Fourier transform spectroscopy technology.

Total system includes the hyper-spectral imaging sensor, a PC-based data acquisition/sensor control system, and a tripod for mounting the imaging sensor.

Sensor requirements are as follows:
- InSb FPA and closed cycle cooler assembly with spectral range of 3.0 to 5.5 µm,
- FTS design with the interferogram, raw spectrum, calibrated spectrum or co-added spectra (up to 16) output for each pixel as a datacube,
- Operate in 2 selectable modes, spectral imaging and standard imaging,
- Adjustable FTS sensor temperature from ambient+10°C up to 50°C,
- Motorized adjustable focus from 3m to infinity,
- Integrated co-boresighted visible color CCD (at least 640 x 480),
- FPA size of 320x256 pixels with IFOV of 0.35 mrad,
- .25X demagnifying telescope,
- Spatial binning of up to 16 pixel areas,
- Well capacity of 4.5M electrons to 18M electrons,
- Internal radiometric calibration capability (0°C - 100°C) using 2 internal blackbody targets with option to use external blackbodies,
- Ability to reduce image window size and re-position on FPA,
- Ability to adjust minimum and maximum limits of the output spectra,
- Filter holder with retaining ring accessible from outside the system enclosure,
- CameraLink interface for data output,
- Ethernet interface for sensor control,
- Sensor weight less than 30 kg,
- Operate from 60 HZ, 110VAC.

Sensor performance requirements are as follows:
Performance Requirement Units Value
NESR (@ 16cm-1resolution, 300K scene) nW/cm2 sr cm-1 < 8 @ 5 µm
Radiometric accuracy K < 1 @ 5 µm
Integration Time Sec Adjustable from 5µ - 10m
Data rate, 128x128 window size @ 16 cm-1 spectral resolution datacube / s > 2
Data rate, 128x128 window size @ 4 cm-1 spectral resolution datacube / s > 0.6
FPA cool-down duration (@ 25°C ambient) minutes < 9
Spectral resolution cm-1 Adjustable from 0.25 to 150
Operating temperature °C 0 to 35
Steady-state power consumption W < 150
Maximum power consumption W < 300

The data acquisition and control system must meet the following requirements:
- Provide controls to adjust sensor parameters and display current sensor configuration,
- Display the interferogram or spectrum of a selected pixel,
- Record sensor output to hard disk controlled by either a user-entered number of datacubes or manual start/stop recording control,
- Monitor and display FPA temperature, FTS sensor temperature, environment temperature and humidity,
- Monitor and display percentage of well capacity used,
- Monitor and display reference laser signal level, FTS mirror sweep speed, and sampling parameters,
- Acquire data from the forward scan, reverse scan, or both,
- Monitor and display internal blackbody temperatures.

- User training for the system shall also be conducted at Eglin AFB, for eight (8) individuals.

- Operations manuals, data sheets, etc., will be supplied along with the system.
