INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID

The Local Government Unit of General Santos City, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), invites eligible contractors for the hereunder project:

• REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT OF OFFICE AND COMFORT ROOM AT PUBLIC MARKET PHASE A
• REHAB OF ROLL-UP GATES AND EXIT GATE AT CENTRAL PUBLIC MARKET, BARANGAY DADIANGAS SOUTH
• ELECTRICAL REWIRING AT PUBLIC MARKET PHASE A AND B
Location : GENERAL SANTOS CITY
Brief Description :  Includes Demolition, Tile Works, Masonry works, Ceiling works Door Works, Painting Works, Plumbing Works, Plumbing Fixtures, Electrical Works, Billboard, Desludging and other miscellaneous items affected by the project.
 Rehab of Roll-up Gates and Exit Gate; work activities includes Removal of Existing Structure (Existing Exit gate and chipping of Concrete columns), Painting Works, Roll-up Gates and other miscellaneous items affected by the project
 Electrical Wiring: work activities include service entrance 3" dia, transformer, switchboard (frame) and switchboard (housing).

For the Contract : P 1,360,601.48
Contract Duration : 75 calendar days

Prospective bidders should possess a valid PCAB license applicable to the above type and cost of the contract and should have experience in undertaking a similar project within the last 3 years with an amount of at least 50% of the proposed project for bidding, and have key personnel and equipment (owned, leased or under purchase) available for the prosecution of the project. The list of minimum equipment requirement is indicated in the Eligibility Forms. The Eligibility Check/Screening as well as the Preliminary Examination of Bids shall use non-discretionary "pass/fail" criteria. Post-qualification of the lowest calculated bid shall be conducted.

All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference(s), Evaluation of Bids, Post-Qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR).

Bid Documents will be available only to eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable amount of P 2,000.00 to the General Santos City Treasurer's Office until June 10, 2008.

The Local Government Unit of General Santos City assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid.

The Local Government Unit of General Santos City reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to annul the bidding process, and to reject all Bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders.
